I started Superculture to level you up
It's lonely and confusing being a founder.
Everyone in your shoes struggles with this.
But staying there is a choice.
You don't have to.
This is the newsletter I wish I had when I was still in the grind. As a serial founder, I’ve seen incredible highs and crushing lows. In my experience, first as a founder, now as a coach, I know that you can get off the roller coaster and grow.
Winding down my last startup sucked. It had been an incredible ride, but after many years, an incredible team, millions in funding and a million monthly users, we were faced with the stark reality that it wasn’t going to work. Towards the end, I went to a Reboot Bootcamp and met a dozen other founders and for the first time I really understood I wasn’t alone. Coaching didn’t save that company but it saved me and helped me wind the company down well for all our stakeholders.
Afterwards, my friends at Reboot opened a door I hadn’t been looking for—to get trained and certified as a coach and work with them. This allowed me to put nearly two decades of experience building products, teams and companies to use for others.
The most surprising thing I’ve learned as a coach is just how universal our challenges are - especially the emotional ones. It’s sad and ironic that so many of us suffer in silence with the same shit. It’s even sadder most of it isn’t even true. (I’m talking to you imposter syndrome).
I launched Superculture to double down on helping the next generation of founders and operators avoid the many pitfalls of leadership and achieve their best. My clients have sold their companies, started funds, raised millions, launched rockets, opened flagship stores, been nominated for James Beard awards, won prestigious grants and--most importantly--found more meaning and balance.
Think of Superculture as your friend in the trenches, or even better, your personal startup coach. Bring me questions, I’ll get you answers - either from my toolbox or from the smartest folks I know.
Because the coach in me sees your potential and wants you to win.
You are not alone.
In the meantime, tell your friends!
